Research Interests:
Yixiao (pronounced “EE-shaw”) is a Ph.D. student in Informatics at the College of Information Sciences and Technology. He is broadly interested in how language practices are changing in the age of AI, both in human-to-human and human-to-machine communication. In particular, he studies the opportunities and risks associated with these changes, as well as how they affect the knowledge, values, and practices that language encodes and carries.
