Research Interests:
William is a first generation American and a Ph.D. student at Penn State, where he humbly pursues the field of Artificial Intelligence in the Computer Science and Engineering department. His work encompasses various aspects of AI, including Expert Systems, Knowledge Bases, Representation Learning, Multimodal Learning, and Deep Learning. With a profound appreciation for nature, William’s love for Happy Valley’s trails has anchored him at Penn State, where he continues to learn and grow beyond his undergraduate and master’s studies at Penn State. During his M.S., William was supported by the Applied Research Laboratory and the Office of Naval Research, which led to him being honored as a SMART scholar by the Department of Defense. William is a motivated researcher, aspiring to make a significant impact on society. He is thankful for the chance to conduct research that might one day shape our digital society in the current Information Age, while championing diversity and inclusion. In his leisure time, William enjoys tennis, hiking, and biking, finding joy in these activities as a delightful complement to his academic endeavors. His approach to life is one of balance, aiming for personal growth and a meaningful contribution to his field.
